The Association has set forth certain guidelines that all of its members are encouraged to follow. Failure to observe these guidelines may result in loss of membership privileges in the HAAHTA.
Guideline 1: HAAHTA members will follow the Guidelines and regulations set forth by the United Kennel Club (UKC).
Guideline 2: HAAHTA members will protect the American Hairless Terrier and work collectively to improve and promote the breed.

Guideline 4: HAAHTA members will take the best possible care of their dogs with proper veterinary care, up-to-date vaccinations, appropriate nutrition, housing, training and socialization.
Guideline 5: HAAHTA members will keep accurate records on their dog(s). This includes registration certificates, pedigrees, show wins, health certificates, etc.
Guideline 6: HAAHTA members will not be involved with puppymills or dog brokers. Additionally, they will not breed dogs for the purpose of selling puppies to pet stores.
Guideline 7: It is strongly recommended that HAAHTA members utilize a spay/neuter contract for “pet” quality dogs or that they spay/neuter "pet" quality dogs before placing them in their new homes.
Guideline 8: HAAHTA members will present themselves in a manner that best represents our Club and our Breed. HAAHTA members will exhibit good sportsmanship and integrity at all times.
Guideline 9: When attending events such as dog shows, matches, field trials, agility trials, etc. HAAHTA members will follow the Guidelines and regulations set forth by the sponsoring club.
